2010 Sustainability Showcase Award Recipients

THE CALIFORNIA SUSTAINABILITY NAMES RECIPIENTS OF THE 2010 SUSTAINABILITY SHOWCASE AWARDS

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – December 21, 2010 –The California Sustainability Alliance, a market transformation program managed by Navigant Consulting, Inc. (NYSE: NCI) and administered by Southern California Gas Co., has announced its 2010 Sustainability Showcase Award recipients. The Alliance is recognizing leading organizations in four areas: Commercial Buildings, Multifamily Housing, Local Government and Water Agencies.

The following organizations have been selected as award recipients for 2010: Balboa Park Cultural Partnership (Commercial Buildings); Eden Housing (Multifamily Housing); City of Chula Vista (Local Government); and Santa Clara Valley Water District (Water Agencies). Two organizations have been selected for honorable mention: EAH Housing (Multifamily Housing) and City of Tulare (Local Government).

“This year’s Sustainability Showcase Awards feature a diverse group of innovative organizations that are using creative strategies to implement sustainable practices in California,” said Carlo Gavina, Program Manager for the California Sustainability Alliance at Southern California Gas Co., “We are pleased to recognize these organizations for their dedication to sustainability and share their successful approaches with others.”

Now in its third year, the Sustainability Showcase Awards recognizes the successful sustainability policies, programs, practices and technologies implemented by leading organizations. The Sustainability Showcase highlights the efforts of these California organizations shining the way towards the state’s sustainable future.

Winners in each category will be honored at the California Sustainability Alliance Showcase Awards Luncheon to be held in February 2011. The Alliance will feature the winning organizations on the Showcase Award pages.
