Green Local Government
The Green Local Government Pilot Program will help...
- Develop inventories and checklists of local government ‘green’ policies, plans, programs and practices.
- Assist a local government in conducting a comprehensive diagnostic of its current ‘green’ state.
- Develop stakeholder committees and processes to determine which green options should be considered for adoption by the local government.
- Provide analytical and implementation support.
- Develop tools that assist other local governments in conducting similar diagnostics and selecting the portfolio of ‘green’ options that best meet their needs.
Findings from this case study may be used to suggest methods and protocols for estimating local government greenhouse gas emissions to one of our partners, the California Climate Action Registry.
