The Miraflores project includes affordable housing components and is designed to be dense but walkable with plenty of open space.

Eden Housing’s Miraflores Project, still in the predevelopment phase, is part of a much larger development that includes market-rate home ownership and is designed to be a LEED-Neighborhood Development (LEED-ND). LEED-ND is the first national standard to attempt to describe and quantify what “green” actually is on the neighborhood scale. LEED-ND integrates the principles of new urbanism, green building, and smart growth into the first national standard for neighborhood design.

The Miraflores project is designed to be dense and walkable, and includes plenty of open space. There is a significant affordable housing component for seniors, a mixture of for-sale and rental units, amenities for kids, creek restoration, and a significant component dedicated to urban agriculture, as well as universally-accessible units for people with disabilities, new bike paths, and plenty of trees and shade. As part of the project, existing soil and groundwater contamination will be remediated on-site.
