IEUA adopted and is implementing a Three Year Business Plan to accelerate development of its recycled water infrastructure by five years, to enable beneficial use of all of its recycled water.

Ordinance No. 75 requires that each of its member agencies encourage their retail water customers to use recycled water for qualified uses whenever it is available.

POLICY: RECYCLED WATER
Recognizing the critical role of recycled water in the long-term water security of Chino Basin, IEUA adopted a policy and entered into agreements with its contracting member agencies to maximize the use of recycled water.
Recent reductions in historical sources of imported water supplies have accelerated the urgency of developing local water supplies.
IEUA’s response to the state’s water supply crisis is to accelerate development of its recycled water infrastructure so that all recycled water produced through its wastewater treatment activities can be beneficially used.
