IEUA partnered with the U.S. Department of Energy and the California Energy Commission’s Public Interest Energy Research (PIER) division to test the change in biogas production with various complex biofeedstocks.
When the results showed that local food processing waste significantly enhanced biogas production from cattle manure, IEUA integrated food waste into its waste-to-energy portfolio.
