Mobile Engineering Services (MES)

Jones Lang LaSalle provides a comprehensive energy and resource management program that meets its clients’ environmental objectives and can potentially save 20% or more in energy costs. Jones Lang LaSalle’s team applies knowledge and best practices from client projects throughout the world to help reduce energy consumption and carbon footprint through operational improvements, capital planning improvements, and procurement alternatives.

  • Jones Lang LaSalle has committed to replace all trucks and vans in its Mobile Engineering Services fleet with hybrid vehicles. When that process is completed, it will double the fleet’s average gas mileage, save 50,000 gallons of gasoline a year and reduce CO2 emissions by 400 tons per year.
  • A Cleaner Tomorrow (ACT) Program is a global internal program that introduces and advances new sustainability and energy management initiatives to employees in 258 Jones Lang LaSalle offices around the world.
  • Jones Lang LaSalle developed a Green Cleaning initiative so all cleaning supplies, equipment and cleaning policies meet LEED “Green Product” standards. In addition, disposal of janitorial paper products and trash bags meets the requirements of the Environmental Protection Agency’s Comprehensive Procurement Guidelines.  This program was piloted in 21 million square feet of property in 2009 and is currently being expanded to Jones Lang LaSalle's entire U.S. property management portfolio.
  • Jones Lang LaSalle developed the first commercial real estate Sustainability University to educate its employees about sustainability and its application to the commercial real estate sector. The University provides employees with skills needed to deliver sustainability solutions to their clients, helps them attain sustainability related professional accreditations, and raises internal awareness of ways to enhance sustainability in the firm’s operations.
