L.A. Trade-Technical College’s South Campus Project is the LACCD’s largest green building
Los Angeles Trade-Technical College's $126 million South Campus project modernizes one of the nation’s leading technical colleges.
The intricately designed project is the largest construction project in the District. It consists of two five-story buildings with more than 120,000 square feet of office and classroom space, and includes a Technology Classroom building (66,228 square feet) and a Student Services building (56,302 square feet). The South Campus project also has a utility building (1,800 square feet) and extensive landscaping.
Green Features Include:
- Developed to meet the U.S. Green Building Council's LEED silver rating standards.

- Implementation of optimized energy performance
- CFC and HCFC free equipment
- Construction waste management and recycled and local materials use
- Indoor air quality and chemical control
- Low-emitting materials
- Commissioning of HVAC, electrical and BAS systems
- Connection to the planned campus solar array.
